Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors Project 10

The experts at Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors helped to achieve this stylish and contemporary whole home renovation of a heritage Victorian terrace. With most of the renovations and extension completed by the homeowner herself, Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors was able to work directly with the client, ensuring a perfect result.

Thanks to her past experience as a kitchen designer, the homeowner had a good feel for the space planning and layout, creating the perfect collaborative environment. Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors was enlisted to tweak ideas and incorporate the latest in storage options and hardware, assisting in making the right selections to bring everything together.

Custom-designed and -built cabinetry appears throughout the home, including the kitchen, pantry, laundry, bar, powder room, study, bedroom wardrobes, master walk-in robe and en suite. Each room – while not particularly large – is both space efficient and aesthetically pleasing, offering practical storage solutions for this family of four.

The clean styling of the new spaces and cabinetry work well with the original heritage features of the home, creating contrast while maintaining a sense of cohesion. The unfussy, contemporary style of the cabinetry helps to let the features of both the new and original architecture shine.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen displays a sleek, streamlined design, featuring a combination of panelling including Polytec ‘Prime Oak’ in Woodmatt and Laminex ‘Black’ in AbsoluteMatte, which is even anti-fingerprint to allow for easy maintenance and cleaning. This combination creates a classy warmth, with balanced tones that work beautifully with the natural granite ‘Super White’ benchtops.

For easy access and usage, Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors fitted this stunning kitchen with only the best hardware; Blum hinges and soft-close Blum Antaro drawers in ‘Silk White’ will make cooking a breeze and will ensure this space remains highly functional and top quality for many years to come.

The bathroom cabinetry follows a more distinct look, with the main bathroom featuring only the black and the en suite featuring only the oak panelling, creating a consistent connection with the kitchen while showcasing a bold, defined design in and of themselves. The Essastone ‘Caolino’ matte benchtops provide serene subtlety and are particularly striking against the black cabinetry.

In addition to the quality materials and top-of-the-line installation of all the joinery, ample storage space can be found throughout the house. Between the many cupboards and wide drawers, the home bar and butler’s pantry, the kitchen serves multiple stations for storing utensils, crockery, food and appliances. The cabinetry’s handle-less panels help these storage solutions to blend effortlessly into the overall design.

Moving to the impressive walk-in wardrobe found in the master suite, this luxurious space offers multiple dress racks, open shelves, drawers and tall cupboards, all of which tie in with the lovely Victorian-style fireplace.
