BIGGER, BRIGHTER, BETTER

A dark and cluttered kitchen is a depressing place to be, so when Direct Kitchens was called into redesign this old and tired space, adding light and expanding storage space were the most important items on the brief. The addition of a window splashback was the touch of brilliance needed to open up the space and bring it to life. Now flooded with natural light, the kitchen was ready for the rest of the transformation. The cabinetry was expanded and updated with shaker style thermo laminate and space to hold modern appliances, thoroughly modernising it while still maintaining the existing cottage feel of the house.

Engineered stone countertops and textured white subway style tiles capitalise on the newly introduced sun and maximise its effect. A new laundry space hidden within the kitchen and a preparation nook under the window splashback are the final tricks employed to maximise available space and storage in this newly revived room.
