This Surrey Hills project is the epitome of masculine luxury and class. The client outlined some specifics within the design brief: the need for additional wine storage, a connected alfresco and kitchen, seamless touchpoints with no handles, LED lighting and standout stone tops. Each point was delivered, and every expectation was exceeded. Matte black finishes provide the perfect backdrop, allowing the natural Super White Dolomite and glass to set the tone.

Carefully considered lighting celebrates the beauty of the natural stone while also serving a practical function. The client was taken to view and select the slabs, ensuring control over detail and vein flow. A custom-made wine storage space that uniquely fits under the stairs was implemented, serving as an ingenious showpiece within the space. To keep surfaces touchless, J-Groove style doors and electrically opening bins were installed, as well as touch control LED lighting under the bench for overheads and wine storage.

At the centre of this high-octane renovation is the owner’s sports car, which can be seen from nearly every room. The sharp lines of the kitchen are punctuated by rounded elements that draw the eye to the curves of the sports car. For functionality, the working triangle was kept to under 8 metres, and the single door pantry was made pull-out for improved accessibility. Inner drawers were built for maximised access and storage needs, suiting perfectly to how the homeowner used their space.

Every aspect of this project was highly considered – from flushmount sink and cooktops to a pop-up power station with a seamless stone insert. The team took its time to ensure every detail was perfected, especially within the wine storage area, which features customised bottle brackets to optimise storage space in angled areas.
