A minimalist colour palette combines with sharp and sleek lines to make a sophisticated statement in this kitchen. Adina Tarcea from AT Design Group designed the space in conjunction with Brentwood Kitchens, which helped bring her vision to reality.

The island bench with two-pack painted cabinetry provides ample storage to minimise clutter, in keeping with the 0modern aesthetic. Atop the island sits a Caesarstone engineered stone benchtop in ‘Pure White’, which houses an undermount sink. The pull-down mixer tap with vegetable spray is a functional artistic statement.

Acting as a dramatic focal point of the kitchen is the luxurious cantilevered marble addition to the island bench. While the main section of the island provides a practical space for storage and food preparation, the marble bench functions as a social hub when entertaining; a place from which to serve food and to gather around.

The cantilevered design means that bar stools can be added to enable the bench to be used for casual dining. The marble feature benchtop has LED lights inside, creating a glow in the evenings.

The wall behind the top-of-the-range Miele appliances conceals a butler’s pantry, complete with second undermount sink and further storage.

Contrasting the pure white of the island cabinetry and highlighting the veins in the marble benchtop, the cabinetry surrounding the double fridge features crystal gloss laminate. All of the cabinetry used throughout the space features finger-pulls to eliminate the need for handles and maintain the streamlined aesthetic.
