DNA Bathrooms & Kitchens

This striking family bathroom was designed with functionality and low maintenance in mind. DNA Bathrooms & Kitchens transformed this bathroom from its original clunky and cluttered state into the uniquely designed beauty it is today.

The previous bathroom was long, skinny and L-shaped – closed and cramped with an enclosed toilet and back door. The clients hoped to create a design that included space saving features which would accommodate their need for more storage, as well as easy-to-maintain products.

The brick mortar in the existing bathroom was weak and brittle, the plumbing was virtually unusable and there was an outdated suspended slab above the shower and bath. Rather than try to remove the slab, cupboard space was incorporated into this area, providing more storage space without encroaching on the room.

The back door was removed and replaced with a window of frosted glass to let light in. The toilet was moved to the rear of the room so it was hidden, eliminating the need for a door.

A large mirror was installed behind the vanity making the room feel more spacious, while glass splashbacks were fitted into the three walls behind the bath and in the shower to ensure they were easy to clean and maintain.

The vanity unit, featuring a two-pack painted finish and 40mm Caesarstone benchtop, not only has a heating vent concealed into the kickboard but also adds the extra cupboard space needed for a growing family.
