Owner of J&A Cabinets Aldo Marinaccio was set the task of designing a kitchen that would fulfil the client’s brief for a space with aesthetic appeal and an open-plan design, which would facilitate easy entertaining.

Marinaccio designed the space with functionality in mind, with the cooking appliances conveniently placed within easy distance of one another. An expansive island bench with a white granite benchtop will no doubt not only be used for food preparation, but will be the hub of the home where guests gather. With entertaining in mind, the layout allows for effortless traffic flow within the space.

The white granite benchtop is complemented by doors and panels in white two-pack paint, with the absence of handles creating a streamlined look. Continuing the use of natural stone, Carrara marble has been selected for the kitchen’s splashback.

An eye-catching feature of the space is the backlit onyx column, which is sure to be a talking point when the homeowner is entertaining. The kitchen’s bulkhead, with LED downlights, had to be redesigned to accommodate the appropriate heights and dimensions of the cabinetry.

As well as in the kitchen, J&A Cabinets provided extensive joinery throughout the home, including in the cinema room, bathrooms, staircase and living area.
