L T Nickson & Burke
Yet again, nickson and burke has built a kitchen with outstanding individuality and impressive style. designed by an international architect, this stunning addition is a modern take on traditional chinese architecture.
In achieving an oriental aesthetic, nickson and burke has utilised a selection of different materials, creating a warm and earthy colour palette with red accents – a colour symbolising good fortune in china.
With their love of entertaining, the owners wanted a functional kitchen that integrated well with the rest of the home, while also catering for regular house guests. the kitchen has been built with the owners many chinese artefacts in mind, providing plenty of shelving and space for them to be displayed.
A butlers pantry ensures the kitchen is tidy and presentable at all times, allowing for storage to be kept out of sight. italiana stone benchtops in ‘Jaipur Vanilla’ add lightness to the otherwise dark and heavy colour scheme, while eveneer ‘even havana’ wood grain doors and panelling contribute further warmth. traditional chinese style handles give this modern interpretation of oriental style a touch of old-world charm.
