Morcraft Kitchens

This sleek and inviting kitchen boasts an impressive range of features. Spectacular Grigio Carnico Marble has been used on the splashback and part of the benchtop, immediately catching the eye of anyone who views the room.

The kitchen, in a new home in Alphington, was designed by Morcraft Kitchens in collaboration with the home builder’s designer.

To achieve the functionality and aesthetic appeal the clients craved, careful planning and thought went into the kitchen’s size and layout. Spanning 6m x 4.6m, the kitchen features a range of quality products and appliances.

Engineered wood veneer and gloss vinyl has been used on doors, panels and kickboards. The doors and drawers also have stainless steel flat D handles for ease of use.

In addition to marble, CaesarStone has been used for the benchtop, while Dulux Lexicon half-strength paint and porcelain tiles were utilised to achieve the room’s classic appeal. Low voltage lighting and energy-efficient appliances from Miele and LG have been installed, boosting the room’s environmental credentials.

Morcraft Kitchens was established in 1968 by Jack Wallace, who has since retired. The company is now run by his son Matt, and Greg Smith, who both began at the business as apprentices and between them have more than 60 years of experience at Morcraft Kitchens. The business specialises in medium to top-end projects in new housing, and also works in the renovation market.

Morcraft Kitchens builds more than 150 kitchens each year, and works throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area.

The team is also happy to travel to country areas and the Mornington Peninsula, and has worked on houseboats in the Eildon and Murray River areas for more than 20 years.

With three Master Builders Excellence in Craftsmanship awards between 2001 and 2004, the 2002 Cabinet Maker of the Year Award from the Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) and a high commendation in the same category in 2003, Morcraft Kitchens’ commitment to excellence has been acknowledged by the Victorian kitchen industry, as well as the company’s many happy clients.
