For this project, the client wanted the kitchen to complement the art deco aesthetic of the rest of the home. This required a bespoke design that represented that era through features and furniture. From the curved doors and panels, to a marble benchtop and mirrored glass splashback, the art deco feel has been incorporated through sleek and sophisticated design and products. While impressive in appearance, the space still had to maintain the functionality of a modern, workable kitchen that suited the client’s busy lifestyle and teenage children, who also love using the kitchen. Prestige Kitchens approached the space with the idea that the kitchen acts as the home’s main centre point, cooking place and work place and created a gorgeous peninsula bench to meet all these requirements.

To create an easy, clean aesthetic within the kitchen, a high-gloss, polyurethane finish was chosen as well as handlefree Blum Servo-drive opening drawers. The integration of appliances and cabinets without handles creates a sleek, modern look that is not only pleasing to the eye but also extremely functional. Adding to this notion of quality and functionality within a space, Prestige Kitchens included an integrated dishwasher and Miele appliances.
