This stylish kitchen has been renovated to leave a lasting impression. Easily the most eye-catching feature is its wood panelled in Castelation ‘Western Red Cedar’, which boasts ample storage and draws the eye to its symmetrical line work. With minimal fixtures, push-to-open handles and Nova Pro Scala hardware, the drawers and cupboards appear seamless and cohesive; the warmth of the woodgrain creates an organic feel, but through straight, clean panelling it is elegant and contemporary as well.

Startling black marble covers the benchtop and overflows down the side of the preparation island, extending up to the splashback behind the sink and cooktop. From Dekton’s Laurent Natural Collection, this deep stone highlighted by golden brown veins is a striking choice; complimented by the black Gaggenau appliances and luxurious wine cooling station. These dark tones juxtapose the warmth of the space to create a moody and chic design that is only further enhanced by the kitchen’s asymmetrical layout and minimalist approach.

The stunning stone and wood combination is elevated by the choice of Hafele Loox strip lights under the island and splashback, brightening the cabinetry and lifting the height of the floor to ceiling joinery against the back wall. The kitchen’s deep gold sink is accented by subtle gold accessories such as gold water jug, pot plant and salt and pepper shakers.

The open-plan layout allows this kitchen’s bold, black, and sophisticated design to overflow into the main living and dining areas to create a cohesive space. However, it cannot be understated how striking this joinery is, both pleasing to the eye and practical for use.
