EARTHY ELEGANCE

Channelling the natural beauty of this home’s Mount Martha location, this kitchen renovation takes an earthy approach in its cabinetry. With an organic colour palette that features green and timber throughout the design, the kitchen evokes a calmness and tranquillity. Designed by the homeowner herself, Joanne Galea of Style and Harmony Interior Design, this stunning design was brought to life by Inline Cabinetry and The Bathroom Group’s Steve Aloi in strong collaboration with Galea.

Moving the kitchen to the centre of the home, the joinery and stonework are a focal point not only of the space but of the home itself. The olive-green cabinetry in Polytec Topiary balances nicely with the timber grain in Polytec Angora Oak and are pleasing to the eye. This colour scheme is accented by a pop of glamour in the brass hardware, which adds a luxurious touch to the otherwise minimalist, soft finishes.

The open-plan design scales the kitchen to a grandiose level, allowing it to be seen and enjoyed from all angles. The warmth brought by the green and timber is nicely offset by the cooler benchtops in YDL Stone’s ‘Cloudy Grey’ and concrete-like splashback. Boasting two generously sized sinks, a large island bench and a separate coffee station, this kitchen is both beautiful and practical.

Continuing the earthy tones established in the kitchen, the two bathrooms are spa-like oases. With a mint green tiled accent wall in the same pattern as the kitchen splashback, timber cabinetry and gold accents, these bathrooms are true companion spaces to the kitchen. A deep bathtub, ample storage and dual sinks, both bathrooms are perfect to unwind and relax in.

The striking stone tiles on the kitchen floor continue into the laundry and perfectly frame the crisp white joinery. Taking a decidedly more minimalist approach in its cool greys and whites, the laundry is a modern and practical space. It’s brass cabinetry knobs and house plants pay homage to the palette established throughout the rest of the home. A functional, yet stylish space designed for ease and comfort.
