Bright and Beautiful

Built into the existing framework of the home, the kitchen was the centrepiece to the newly built extension, made to be open and welcoming as well as functional. A marriage of solid timber, modern white and natural tones, this kitchen is light-filled and beautiful.

These existing high ceilings, high windows and skylights are a stunning feature of the kitchen space. Inline Cabinetry ensured that the cabinetry was subtle and didn’t detract from these established features. By creating floating shelves instead of
upper cabinetry in a majority of the main kitchen and the butler’s pantry nook, the space feels airy, simple, and open.

The bench legs are made from solid American oak, while the upper cabinetry and floating shelves are made of Polytec ‘Natural Oak Ravine’, giving a grounded warmth to the room. The brass handles also bring in the earthy tones against the white matte cabinetry which is a Polytec ‘Sussex’ vinyl wrap.

The use of Polytec for the doors and cabinetry, coupled with the Multiform Stone from Stonemasons and Blum Hardware create a sleek and contemporary feel. The floating shelves are accentuated with LED light tracks around them, adding to the home’s warm ambiance.

The spaciousness of the room is felt with the generously sized kitchen island bench with bar stools on one side and prep station on the other. Ample storage continues with a twin fridge and storage cabinetry. The sleek but earthy feel continues through to the pantry, tucked away discreetly to allow the space to remain clean and organised.
