Impeccable Craftmanship

In this project, MDR Joinery has placed an emphasis on contemporary style and practical design. The brief called for a functional kitchen that was easy to keep clean with plenty of storage. The client wanted to go adventurous with the colour palette while keeping it classy. Navy blue acts as a base colour for the American oak, which highlights certain areas and adds a touch of warmth for a homely feel. To achieve this, Laminex Absolute Matte on the doors and panels keeps fingerprints off and is simple to clean.

A Corian benchtop make the kitchen a joy to use, keeping it tidy. To break up the colour and add the variety that the kitchen needed, American oak was used for the shadow lines, open overheads and solid timber feature framing around the island bench.

A large island bench lets the family sit together and this was filled with deep drawers for plenty of storage. The AVENTOS HF bi-fold lift system in the overhead storage makes accessing the cabinets a breeze, even in the cooking area. A large pantry cabinet, hidden by a blind panel and four bi-fold doors, also makes the secondary work area easy to use without cluttering the main kitchen bench.
