SCO Design Project 2
Bringing something unique to the table, Chang Ong of SCO Design designed and delivered this stunning tearoom and entry hall cabinetry. The homeowner loves architecture and functional space, two things SCO Design has captured perfectly through the quality joinery, which tells the different stories of each separate space within the home.
Situated at the front of the house, overlooking priceless landscape work, is the exquisite tearoom. A spacious island table sits at the centre, where guests can gather. This island was made as a low as possible to create a statement with the contrasting high ceiling and large window, all cleverly proportioned.
The cabinetry showcases seamless joinery details with timber slats to enrich the design and add a point-of-interest. Open shelving in a dynamic arrangement allows the homeowners to display decorative items, including teapots and cups. The use of LED strip lighting along the wider shelves draws the eye, highlighting the warmth of the beautiful composite timber.
Designed to suit the lifestyle needs of the homeowner, the entry hall unit offers a range of storage solutions, from the concealed shoe storage to the sleek handle-less cabinetry, and the convenient bench. Stylish V-groove panelling along the back highlights the tall ceilings and features coat hooks for additional functionality.
