Select Kitchens executed this stylish kitchen renovation, improving the functionality and elevating the aesthetic with a mix of materials and unique design elements.

The combination of ‘Tundra Grey’ marble and Jarrah Solid timber were clever choices made by Select Kitchens’ lead designer Paul Smeaton. This combination forms the curved island bench, a subtle throwback to 70s sophistication with feature-style clean-cut panelling that opens up into cabinets for additional storage. The island bench includes a recess where the bar stools can be tucked away, the perfect space-saving solution for an open-plan design.

For consistency, the same marble and timber are carried over to the splashback and food preparation zone. The in-built chopping board is not only a stand-out aesthetic feature but is also highly practical. This kitchen’s functional components don’t stop there – Select Kitchens converted the existing European laundry into a walk-in pantry with a second sink and increased storage. Dulux ‘Beige Royal’ matte paint and matching doors and panels tie the entire kitchen together, a gentle colour that draws attention to the main design points.
