For this project by Smith & Smith Cabinets, the homeowners requested an inviting space that was modern and comfortable to use. The result is a beautiful kitchen that is understated, yet visually inviting. Designed to be communal, the island ‘Nougat’ Caesarstone benchtop can accommodate numerous guests comfortably, while also providing the homeowners with plenty of room for preparing meals.

Timelessness was a priority when it came to deciding on a colour palette for the room. The homeowners were mindful of selecting a colour scheme that wouldn’t date quickly. To achieve this Smith & Smith Cabinet Makers finished the doors and back panels in two tones of Dulux high gloss emporite finish: ‘Vivid White’ and ‘Silver Illusion’.

Another important aspect of the kitchen was its functionality. It was essential that the room not only looked great, but was also easy to use. To ensure the room was practical Smith & Smith Cabinet Makers included plenty of storage space and fitted the kitchen with quality Hettich hardware.

The massive walk-in pantry measures 4m². Neatly hidden behind sliding doors, this considerable space allows everything to be within easy reach, making it a delight for any cook.

To further enhance the cooking experience, the kitchen cabinetry is supported by exceptional hardware products. Hettich Lift Advanced HF mechanisms make using vertical lift-up doors a cinch, while all drawers feature Innotech full extension Silent System runners with integrated Hettich Sensys soft-closing hinges. LED task lighting was installed in the overhead cabinetry to give the room an ambient atmosphere while also boosting the kitchen’s green credentials.
