This home was given an impressive makeover by Smith & Smith Kitchens, boasting a sleek design with little interruption to clean lines and monolithic shapes.

At the heart of the home is the fresh and modern kitchen. Its minimalist design highlights key features, drawing the eye to the gravity-defying cantilevered KAY stone ‘Calacatta Venato’ marble benchtop perched precariously on the stainless-steel island bench. This clever installation conceals the double-basin sink, dividing the wash-up zone from the additional eating area – a real testament to Smith & Smith Kitchens’ creativity. The same marble forms the splashback for cohesion.

The island bench’s placement forms a galley layout, which keeps the look clean while providing great workflow. The stainless steel benchtops allude to a subtle industrial aesthetic and is a great inclusion for a long-term family home since it is durable, heat resistant and easy to clean. It also makes a stunning accent against the dominating whites.

Taking a real contemporary approach, Smith & Smith Kitchens opted for crisp Dulux ‘Natural White’ satin finish cabinetry in a sleek design with J-grip doors, excluding the need for handles. The result is smooth and effortless as everything blends in seamlessly.

Speaking even more to this idea of seamless design are the fully integrated appliances, including the Fischer & Paykel fridge and freezer, and the Bosch dishwasher, both hidden by matching cabinetry. Dual in-built Gaggenau ovens are the ultimate extravagance and will make entertaining for larger groups of guests much easier.

The abundance of cupboards accommodates the homeowners’ needs, increasing storage potential and preventing the possibility of clutter. The many wide drawers, sizeable pantry, overhead cupboards, plus the bonus cabinetry that runs along the wall into the dining area will all prove useful.
