The brief for this project was for a sleek, modern design that was suitable for entertaining friends, while also accommodating the homeowners’ family’s busy lifestyle. By combining exceptional products with thoughtful design, the Smith & Smith Cabinet Makers team brought this vision to life.

Featuring a combination of parquetry flooring and marble highlights the kitchen is elegant and timeless, ensuring it meets the needs for quality and style.

Originally the kitchen was a poky and dark room separate to the main living area. To increase the amount of space available, the kitchen was moved to the living room, allowing the homeowners to cook, supervise the children and entertain guests all at the same time.

Clever storage options ensure the room is easy to keep tidy, while also allowing everything to be within easy reach. The kitchen has an integrated refrigerator and appliance cabinets at both ends of the room. Neatly concealed behind pocket sliding doors, the toaster and other appliances can be accessed without interfering with the cook.

Internal drawers hide similar appliances, such as blenders and mixers, while cabinets at either side of the ovens provide pull-out racks for spices and bottles. Completing the intelligent storage facilities, the Corian ‘Glacier White’ island benchtop includes storage for crockery and cutlery.

The cabinetry is finished in two-pack polyurethane white satin paint and features Castella brushed nickel bar handles. The resulting design is a sleek and modern, European-inspired design that perfectly suits the homeowners’ lifestyle.
