This striking renovation by Smith & Smith Kitchens has crafted an exquisite masterpiece kitchen that offers an unparalleled living experience. With the intent of opening up the existing space to centre the kitchen as the hub of the home, Smith & Smith Kitchens has spectacularly delivered by creating a lovely flow from the family room through to the dining room.

Smith & Smith Kitchens removed an existing nib wall that had been housing the fridge and corner pantry and cut a doorway through to the dining room. A new nib wall was installed to create a generous butler’s pantry with ample storage space and extensive room for prepping. This new layout created the space needed in the main kitchen area to showcase the brilliant 1200mm wide cooker and custom rangehood.

Opening up the home in such a way, and with the implementation of the butler’s pantry, attention is refocused to the statement pieces of the kitchen, the ultimate dream of the client.

Without compromising practicality, Smith & Smith Kitchens achieved the stunning statement kitchen that the client wanted. Having already selected their awe-inspiring marble stone, they wanted it to be a strong standout feature in the kitchen. The finished look is both dramatic and captivating.

The rejuvenated kitchen layout enabled the installation of a custom rangehood with a bench-to-ceiling splash-back of the magnificent marble stone. With no need for overhead cabinets due to the liberal butler’s pantry, Smith & Smith Kitchens added a stunning marble shelf to enhance the kitchen’s breathtaking appearance. Integrating the fridge and freezer also shifted the spotlight onto the ebullient stone as the eye is not drawn to the appliance.

The large island is undoubtedly a standout piece of this kitchen. With two waterfalls ends, it is ideal for both functionality and storage. It also offers ample room for seating guests or children. And importantly, it is an absolutely stunning way to stage the stone.

This Smith & Smith Kitchens design embodies the perfect balance between being practical and children-friendly, as well as suited to luxurious entertainment. The newly renovated butler’s pantry allows the kitchen to be kept clutter free and tidy  perfect for entertaining guests as well as for day-to-day liveability. The pantry offers abundant bench space to be used as a prep area, with appliances close enough to the kitchen to still be a cohesive part of it.

What had previously been an unfurnished meals area is now home to an appealing built-in banquette seating in the bay window. This cute breakfast nook is perfect for children or intimate meals.

Achieving distinguished practicality, Smith & Smith Kitchens inserted Blum oil cargo units, space dividers and drawers next to the magnificent cooker for easy access to everyday essentials, without needing to go back and forth to the pantry. Whether it’s cutlery, utensils or the clutter that gets collected with young children, organising is made easy with Blum inserts in all other drawers in the island.
