FARMHOUSE CHIC

In this modern farmhouse renovation, the interior was completely transformed and customised, perfectly fitting the client’s brief of a farmhouse chic design, equipped with modern appliances and capable of providing ample entertainment space.

During the renovation, the builder removed and replaced most of the walls, making the entire interior house walls from 40mm solid timber, milled from yellow box trees growing on the farm property in the early 20th century. Additionally, recovered timber was reincorporated throughout the project for the benchtops and shelves adding a natural charm. Every panel was created and painted inhouse which was important to the client – everything down to the source timber materials was produced and manufactured locally.

The traditional gallery kitchen design offers all the mod-cons required of a family kitchen. An extended entertaining area with pocket doors provides ample storage and a workable space for larger gatherings – an area that can be left open when in use or hidden away.
