SMALL CHANGES MAKE A BIG IMPACT

A renovation need not be an all or nothing proposition. As this beautiful beachside home demonstrates, it’s entirely possible to make major improvements with just a few key changes. Originally built in the 1970s, this home was dark and uninviting inside, but with just a few minor structural changes it has been opened up considerably to create more space and admit vastly more natural light while still working within the existing footprint of the home.

Continuing with the theme of making smart changes the obvious next step is to update the kitchen and bathroom, and it’s here we really get to see what Westside Cabinets is capable of. Working with Lisa Cannon Interior Design the company has updated the home to be functional and luxurious with a style that draws upon its beachfront location. Chifley shaker doors with a lux and highly durable white finish keep the kitchen bright and the cabinetry functional. This is mixed with a variety of other textures and colours, including warm woods and cool green tiling. Care is taken with the materials, colours and textures in the bathroom and powder room to maintain harmony with the rest of the cabinetry while still being distinct.
