YDM Design Studio have expertly transformed a dated and poky house into a contemporary and open home with only a few structural changes. Every space was carefully curated not only to suit the client’s wishes and improve the functionality of the home, but to create warm and inviting spaces that feel light and airy. The joinery is a combination of 2pac Dulux Lexicon half joinery, with Polytec Sussex profile and Polytec Plantation Ash timber-look melamine. The Signorino natural stone benchtop, brushed nickel tapware and square sage green tiles tie the look together, bringing in a coastal aesthetic. The finishes and colour scheme were carried from the kitchen and living spaces into the bathroom, ensuite and powder room to create a cohesive flow throughout the home. By maximising the kitchen space, improving the available storage, opening up the living and dining area and extending the small ensuite into the walk-in-robe, the home was converted into a more usable and luxurious space.
