REDEFINING DESIGN

Designed and installed by Mint Kitchens Moonee Ponds, this sophisticated kitchen exudes an invigorating charm. Located in Melbourne’s southwest, this contemporary kitchen is packed with surprises behind every door and drawer. Renovating the original kitchen, the homeowner requested a space that was simple, elegant and bold – an ideal challenge for the Mint Kitchen Group. The modern design seamlessly integrates with the existing home, creating a showstopper that impresses everyone who enters.

A playful yet clever combination of colour, texture and detail adds visual interest to the expansive cabinetry. The monochromatic colour palette, accented with timber, softens the design and frames the space beautifully. The solid timber tabletop is the focal point of the kitchen, adding warmth and dimension while providing a seamless flow to the kitchen island. This creates a perfect balance between the prep and dining areas, with the island comfortably seating a small group for intimate occasions. The blend of solid surface, porcelain and solid timber finishes allows for a sensory delight, while scratch-resistant and silk matte acrylic finishes ensure low-maintenance upkeep.

The ceiling line above the kitchen area was corrected to enhance the sense of space, supporting an open-plan layout. Pushto-open cabinetry maintains a sleek, clean aesthetic and the extended area offers practical storage for wine, including nooks for sculptures and the family dog.
