Better Bathrooms & Kitchens Project 21

A LOVE LETTER TO CLASSIC DESIGN

Warmth and charm exude from this renovated kitchen, bringing a timeless feel to the home. With a striking combination of warm timber and eucalyptus on the island bench, the room is instantly brightened through visual interest. Contrasting this, soft white hues and gold-toned accents give the kitchen a serene, elegant finish. While the textured white subway tiles and clean white cabinetry add depth to the space, allowing for the kitchen’s centrepiece – the bench – to truly shine. The kitchen itself is a work of artistry. Each design element from the gold-toned tapware (ABI Interiors) and cabinet door profiles (Tesrol) to the porcelain countertops (Caesarstone Mirabel) adds movement and infuses an inviting atmosphere into the space. The kitchen is bright, homey and charming throughout, with each element thoughtfully curated. Complementing the timber framed doors and windows that lead to the back garden with ease, the kitchen is designed to complete the character-filled home.

The kitchen is the heart of the home – even by its floorplan – flowing directly to the light-filled living space. As the core of the downstairs entertainment area, the kitchen should feel comfortable, inviting and durable. The homeowner requested the space be transformed into one that balances practicality with timeless design, while feeling cohesive within the heritage home. To do this, the team from Better Bathrooms & Kitchens incorporated functional design elements that act as more than just choice of décor. Extensive storage is provided through the cabinetry, the large island bench is perfect for preparing dinner for the family, while the timber addition allows for conversational dining. The space is perfect for a late family breakfast on a warm Sunday morning, or large group dinners on a Friday night, with a coffee nook seamlessly hidden in plain sight, each element of the space is curated to satisfy.
