Seeking a redesign of their tired kitchen, the homeowners tasked Better Bathrooms & Kitchens with creating a room that would best utilise their existing space and facilitate a seamless connection between the kitchen and dining areas. The design was executed by Garrett Hebden, head of Better Bathrooms & Kitchens’ design and project management team. Contributing his 30 years of experience in the kitchen and bathroom renovation industry, Hebden and his team delivered a brief that far exceeded the homeowner’s expectations.

The hero of the kitchen is the impressive cabinetry and spacious island bench. Better Bathrooms & Kitchens introduced a monochromatic colour scheme into the space with sleek, white cabinetry offset with charcoal cup-pull handles. The island bench is fitted with a built-in sink and microwave shelf, while doubling as a casual eating area. Stunning feature pendant lights illuminate this zone and complement the kitchen’s monochromatic tones.

The black subway tile backsplash creates a unique focal point in the kitchen and mirrors the backsplash in the updated laundry, establishing cohesiveness throughout the home. The dark tiling contrasts beautifully
with the newly installed cabinets and Lithostone Calacatta Tuscany benchtop, while the existing timber floors add warmth and softness to the space. Generous additions such as internal wine storage, customised spice
and oil cabinets, and pull-out pantry drawers ensure the kitchen is both convenient and luxurious.

Better Bathrooms & Kitchens fully redesigned two bathrooms in the home. Both showcase impressive floating vanities with vessel sinks and spacious, walk-in showers. The floating vanities promote hassle-free cleaning and the sleek, push-to-open cabinets offer great storage potential. Textured grey tiles cover the walls and floors for a harmonious appearance that echoes the minimalist design in the kitchen.
