Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors Project 6
Designed by Rex Hirst and built by the expert team at Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors, this clean and contemporary kitchen is a welcome addition to the home. The clients wanted a functional layout and plenty of room to entertain family and friends. The brief was expertly achieved by installing clever storage solutions and practical inclusions that also double as standout design features.
Featuring a Calacatta Dorato marble top and an extra sink, the island bench is a statement piece of the kitchen. Providing ample space for food preparation, casual meals, and entertaining guests, the island features integrated roll-out drawers that help keep the zone organised and free from clutter. With a strong focus on space-saving concepts, the kitchen includes an array of cabinetry, which features two-pack Dulux ‘Manorburn’ paint in a matte finish. Two large cabinets were installed to store smaller appliances, while the adjoining bar area houses glassware, serving dishes, and a Fisher & Paykel cool drawer for drinks.
Created with functionality in mind, the central workstation is easily accessible. The induction cooktop, ceiling cassette rangehood, Hansgrohe Metris Classic tapware, and Miele appliances are seamlessly integrated into the layout for a streamlined aesthetic. Showcasing a traditional style, the splashback comprises handmade white ceramic tiles in a brick pattern, which beautifully complements the Caesarstone benchtop that sits below the window.
The team at Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors were faced with the challenge of limited room between walls and windows. To overcome this issue and satisfy the clients, the company took into careful consideration the layout of the appliances and storage solutions, to ensure that no additional space would be compromised.
For a cohesive result, similar cabinetry was selected for the main en suite, bathroom, powder room, laundry and bedroom wardrobes, which ties the home together visually, creating a timeless look. Miele appliances can also be found in the laundry to match the kitchen, while Villeroy & Boch EVANA undercounter basins are featured in all of the bathrooms.
