The clients wanted to maximise storage potential and have the space flow seamlessly into the living and dining areas, while maintaining a fresh and clean aesthetic. The brief was predominantly achieved by installing Laminex drawers in ‘Absolute Black’ with mitred finger-pull handles, and zoning the Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances into specific, easily accessible areas, allowing for better movement around the kitchen. The concealed walk-in pantry with bi-fold doors underneath the staircase further keeps the main space free from clutter.

Statement pieces of the room include a luxurious 20mm Dolomite marble benchtop and splashback in the cooking zone, as well as an island bench with a Dekton top in ‘Domoos’, which both subtly complement the polished concrete flooring. LED downlights and strip lighting along the overhead cabinetry illuminate the area when required, while the large glass doors bathe the kitchen in natural light and offer views of the alfresco entertaining area.

Reminiscent of the kitchen’s sleek look, the en suite and main bathroom are further reflections of MTR Designer Cabinets’ innovative style and clever space-saving concepts. To accommodate the clients’ request for modern and functional bathroom facilities, the layout of each room was strategically designed to create a spacious and relaxing environment. Contemporary features of the kitchen, such as black tapware and LED strip lighting, were also installed in the bathroom designs for visual cohesion.

Each space showcases a floating double vanity unit with Laminex cabinetry in ‘Absolute Black’, and Manhattan 50 undercounter basins, as well as open shelves and drawers for added storage potential. The marble feature walls are a stunning point of difference, and create an interesting contrast between the black joinery and grey tiles. Ample bench space and storage solutions provide everyday convenience, while a freestanding bathtub and large shower result in a functional sanctuary.
