Bespoke Bathrooms Project 3

Bespoke Bathrooms renovated this bathroom space to transform an old, outdated layout into a clean, functional, and stylish open-plan design. The team moved the toilet, shower and vanity from its original house layout of separate water closet and shower room, into the same room. This change creates an ease of movement and practicality, with the look of an expensive, spa-like retreat.

The organic, clay-like look of the bathroom colour palette was achieved with the use of volcanic-coloured ‘Spicy Matt’ floor tiles that wrap up the wall behind the bath. Paired with the matte white wall tiles, the custom wall-hung vanity in spotted gum and the hand-made concrete basin ensure that this bathroom is warm and inviting.

Absolutely bespoke to the homeowners, this retreat pays homage to its origins with recycled and reused materials. The stand-out features are the vintage elements – the stained-glass window above the bath and the art deco wall sconce fit seamlessly with the style in the rest of the house.

Keeping sustainability in mind, Bespoke Bathrooms made sure that this space gave a new lease on life for items such as the lighting and windows, but also the pre-loved hand towel rail and the concrete basin, which found their new home in this bathroom.

This space strikes a beautiful balance between old and new, with stunning modern gold-brushed fixtures harmonising with the original home’s door handles. The vintage aspects coupled with the modern tiles and features breathe new life into the room without losing the home’s existing charm and character.
