H&H Cabinets Project 1

Designed by Finnis Architects and built by H & H Cabinets as part of a Kirby Developments whole-home project, this St Kilda West kitchen is a modern masterpiece. From the outset it was clear that the hero of the space was to be the amazingly detailed mosaic splashback, and H & H Cabinets was tasked with creating joinery to support it. Featuring ‘Antique Brown’ granite benchtops and luxurious Ventech veneer, the contemporary design beautifully complements its bold surroundings.

The clever use of full-length windows flood the area with natural light, softening the moody colour palette and highlighting the textural materials. State-of-the-art Miele and V-ZUG appliances blend with the dark cabinetry, while the Blum TANDEMOX antaro drawers allowed for the creation of unique ‘bookended’ finger pulls. The H & H Cabinets team integrated several structural beams with the veneer cabinetry, and seamlessly fit the rangehood with limited bulkhead space. The use of lift-up overhead doors allowed for easy installation and servicing, plus extra storage space.

Established in 1968, H & H Cabinets started as a modest kitchen manufacturing business in Glen Waverley servicing the local home renovator. Forty years later, the company now operates out of Burwood and has grown substantially. Not only has its factory space and employee numbers expanded, but the quantity of complex custom-cabinetry projects it undertakes has also rapidly increased.
