iCab Cabinets Project 2

This kitchen was designed to maintain the existing country feel of the home. With respect to the stunning pitched ceilings with exposed timber beams, the kitchen complements the aesthetic without not outshining the stunning features of the home. The result is a contemporary farmhouse kitchen that suits the rural location, while infusing a modern touch.

With a large open space to work with, iCab Cabinets added a wall to enclose the hidden walk-in pantry and re-orientate the kitchen to make the most of the northern light flooding in from the glass doors. The otherwise unused space is transformed into a spacious pantry that hides the fridge and food storage so that the main kitchen can remain aesthetically beautiful.

The joinery is displays stripped-back shaker style doors painted in matte white two-pack, which takes advance of the abundance of natural light to give the space an open, inviting feel. The rangehood is discreetly hidden behind matching cabinetry, which allows the rustic beauty of the SMEG Victoria freestanding cooker to shine. On either side of the rangehood two mullion cabinets proudly display the homeowners curated kitchen items and add personality to the space.

The kitchen island is made of 40mm Caesarstone ‘Cosmopolitan White’ benchtops that mirror the splashbacks. The island is designed with built-in dual sink on one side, and an extra dining option with bar seating on the other. Ample storage and a dishwasher that is flush with the cabinetry make this seamlessly designed island one of practicality.
