AN EXQUISITE EXTENTION 

Mint Kitchen Group went above and beyond to deliver this stunning kitchen, which both complements and highlights the existing features of the room, per the homeowners’  request. Designed by Mint Kitchen’s experienced designer, Toby Zarb, this cutting-edge renovation gives the original Victorian home a taste of contemporary style.

Since the room is an extension, the homeowners wanted the existing sandstone exterior wall to be incorporated into the kitchen. This appears effortlessly as a feature wall above the ANDANO sink, working harmoniously with the timber trims and dark-veined Silestone charcoal soapstone splashback and benchtop. The tiled floors were stripped and repolished to bring out their true colour, which brings some lightness to the overall design, along with the white ceilings and walls.

Ample storage is supplied through the Laminex Absolute Matte ‘Terril’ cabinetry – not only a clean and classy choice but also a clever one, since the panels require low maintenance and are easy to clean. Placement of appliances take proper advantage of the space; with everything close by for ease of cooking, yet comfortably apart to avoid clutter. The generous island bench provides a perfect preparation area with ample seating for family and friends to gather around at mealtimes. Mint Kitchen Group even installed a Tête à Tête wine fridge to add a touch of luxury.
