Mode Group Project 1

Beautiful Backdrops For Everyday Living

Natural light and symmetry are the stars of this gorgeous kitchen by Mode Group. The team played with the proportions of the kitchen by mimicking the pantry door height and width, creating a central focal point for the kitchen island bench. With a beautifully curated piece of stone with softened curved edges, the island is a family orientated multitasking preparation space –the sink, dishwasher and pull-out bin drawer are centrally located to support the daily routines of the household.

The existing kitchen had minimal natural light, leading to the idea of incorporating an oversized skylight. The skylight opens up the home and floods the open-plan kitchen and living space with a magnitude of natural light, highlighting the beautiful finishes of warm timber veneer contrasted with a fresh white vinyl and the neutral toned, textured render of the overheads.

The stone on the island is the focal point in the design, with a dramatic quartzite amplified by its soft curves. All the finishes work harmoniously together with the natural light flooding from the skylight, to truly bring the outside in and create a beautiful backdrop for everyday living.

The impressive kitchen is the highlight of this serene home, establishing a family hub for the homeowner. A natural colour pallet and earthy materials are used throughout the home to tether the look of the entire build to the heart of the home, creating a cohesive, harmonious design.

A double integrated basin vanity creates elongation upon entrance to the master bathroom of this stunning Mode Group project. With ample storage, sensor lighting for night time use and a mirrored cabinet above the vanity, this bathroom is both practical and beautiful. The cabinet plays the role of both further storage and a source to reflect light throughout the bathroom, resulting in a diffused ambience in the space.

The curves of the shower wall are partnered with beautiful, concaved subway tiles. As you look above, a circular skylight frames both the morning and night sky, which forms a beautiful feature for the space. To support the soft curves throughout this space, softly textured render was selected for the walls to absorb sound, light and any abrupt edges. The stunning finish carries on throughout the space, also being applied to the custom-made bath.

A focus on natural and earthy materials throughout the home results in a calm sanctuary for the homeowner to enjoy for years to come.
