For the featured project the clients sought plenty of space to prepare meals without compromising on aesthetic appeal. Kitchen and bathroom design company, and tile supplier, Perini has a reputation for creating beautiful and functional spaces, so entrusting company director John Perini with the task of designing this kitchen was a simple choice.

The generous work spaces are made from ‘Ivory Gold’ granite, making the benchtops a key feature in this kitchen. Not only is this material timeless, but granite is also known for its durability, ensuring it will remain functional well into the future.

The island benchtop, crafted into a unique ‘key-hole’ shape, is also made from granite. Centrally positioned, the benchtop provides extra space for food preparation, while the adjoined, circular breakfast bar provides a social space where the homeowners or guests can relax and chat while meals are being cooked.

The surrounding cabinetry contributes to the kitchen’s chic overall design. Finished in a Dulux ‘Seed’ two-pack gloss, the ample storage space guarantees the room will stay mess-free, while the fully-integrated Miele appliances, LED downlighs and Matekor ‘Recife’ handles complete the design.

Perini is also adept at creating beautiful bathrooms like the one featured above. Creating the feeling of space in this room posed a challenge, however, clever material selection enabled Perini to make the most of the small amount of room available.

A frameless showerscreen was employed to make the room seem larger, while also accommodating a shower. The shower includes two heads; a fixed rain head and one on an adjustable rail. By keeping the colour scheme light with neutral-coloured tiles from Perini, and by installing a wide vanity mirror, the room appears lengthened. The combination of these intelligent design features ensures the room appears open and tranquil, rather than cramped.
