Better Bathrooms & Kitchens Project 5
With an inviting aesthetic and an array of contemporary features, this project, designed by Better Bathrooms & Kitchens director Garrett Hebden and built by his professional team, is an exceptional addition to the central hub.
The clients wanted an open-plan kitchen that would flow seamlessly into the living and dining spaces, showcase pleasing views, and incorporate a concealed laundry. The laundry is concealed behind frosted-glass doors, while the cabinetry finishes match the TV room and meals area for visual continuity.
To create a point of difference within the space, the team selected a mix of contrasting colours and textures for the kitchen cabinetry. Providing depth and sophistication, the joinery comprises drawers in ‘Charcoal Gloss’ with chrome lip handles, and Laminex overhead cabinetry in Riven-fnish Sublime Teak. Open shelving above the Samsung refrigerator allows the homeowners to display favoured items and incorporate their unique sense of style.
Offering ample room for the whole family to come together, the peninsula bench is the statement piece of the project. The Caesarstone ‘Sleek Concrete’ waterfall top is identical to the splashback, achieving a harmonious aesthetic. The red pendant lights above add a pop of vibrancy, while LED downlights, internal pantry lights and strip lighting under the overhead cabinets allows for further illumination when required.
Designed for everyday convenience, the kitchen features state-of-the-art appliances and technology, including an induction cooktop, Qasair rangehood, integrated Miele oven and steam oven, and Swiss KWC EVE kitchen mixer with an LED light, Benchtop power points and USB chargers further enhance the functionality of the space. During construction, the team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens overcame the challenges associated with building in an apartment block by continuously communicating with other residents, and maintaining decorum and professionalism.
