MTR Designer Cabinets worked in collaboration with Melbourne-based interior design firm, Sanders & King, to create this multi-faceted and functional kitchen and living area.

Designed with family fun, entertaining and functionality in mind, the homeowners wanted an aesthetically pleasing space with all the conveniences of modern living. Featuring clean lines, sleek appliances and high-quality products, the finished project epitomises style and functionality.

A mixture of light and dark colours has been used to emphasise the stained black veneer cabinetry used throughout the kitchen and living areas. Combined with inset powder coated handles, the American Oak cabinetry is the perfect addition to this carefully crafted space.

Carrara marble has been used for the kitchen’s benchtops and splashbacks, and is complemented by the timber floor’s warm hues. Plenty of storage has been installed to maximise functionality and every drawer and cupboard has been carefully placed in a centralised area to ensure everything is within easy reach.

The generous design effectively utilises the available space and is suitable for a growing family, while the open-plan layout welcomes an abundance of natural light, which filters through the floor-length windows and increases the kitchen’s energy-efficiency.
