Mint Kitchen Group Project 1
This stunning kitchen by Mint Kitchen Group recently won Best Medium Kitchen in Victoria at the Kitchen & Bathroom Design Institute (KBDi) annual awards, making it the company’s 60th industry award in six years.
“It’s a great result for Mint Kitchen Group and for our client, who is extremely happy with his kitchen,” says designer Lindsay Williams of Mint Kitchens by Lifestyle.
The client says the kitchen has made a big difference for the family, who are finding it much easier and more comfortable to prepare meals and congregate in the kitchen now.
The design brief was to open up the space and create a modern kitchen that still blended with the existing design elements of the house. The existing kitchen had a closed-in feel, dominated by 1970s-style timber panelling.
The windows were made larger and frameless, with the cream reconstituted quartz benchtop running right across to the glass. This creates a spacious effect and emphasises the great view of the side garden beds.
The lower cupboards feature an olive laminate in a matte finish, and are complemented by dark grey wood grain semigloss laminate on the pantry, overheads and breakfast bar. The splashback picks up on these colours to complete the classic palette.
Lift-up aluminium framed overhead cupboards in frosted glass draw your eye across to the garden view through the large windows. The overall effect is very contemporary while the neutral palette fits well within the timber panel styling of the house.
Combining more than 100 years of kitchen design experience, the Mint Kitchen Group has five uniquely appointed showrooms in Moonee Ponds, Richmond, Burnley, Carnegie and Burwood.
The Mint Kitchen Group’s philosophy is to create kitchens and bathrooms that meet the highest standards of style, functionality and durability, while maintaining a strong customer focus. This award winning kitchen is a testament to that commitment.
