Mint Kitchen Group Project 9
Mint Kitchen Group has transformed this room from a standard kitchen into a contemporary statement. The new design has increased the functionality and maximised the storage space for the homeowners, while also displaying a sleek style to complement the rest of the home.
A box-effect has been achieved through the introduction of chunky, horizontal panels and by removing the overhang from the benchtops. The resulting kitchen perfectly meets the clients’ brief with its contemporary, minimalist style.
A 12mm Essastone ‘Bone White’ benchtop has been combined with the Laminex two-pack ‘Polar White’ cabinetry and a dimensional ‘Diamond White’ tile splashback to create a glossy, streamlined appearance. Electronic opening systems from Blum have been utilised in the cabinetry to ensure a highly functional space.
Limited space meant that the layout of the new kitchen could not be extended beyond the existing kitchen’s boundaries. To gain additional storage and bench space, Mint Kitchen Group proposed a galley-style kitchen, rather than the commonly-used U-shape kitchen. This has created a great amount of extra space under and above the new length of benchtop.
Mint Kitchen Group specialises in all type of kitchens, with a strong focus on modern designs. Working throughout Victoria, the company builds in excess of 200 kitchens each year.
The company was started by Frank Iaria, Albert Zarb, and Lindsay Williams, each with more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
